Are you ready for some photos from the November Book Gala at Indigo Signal Hill on November 15, 2014? Here they are! I was at the Book Gala with my mom and author, Barboria Bjarne. It was a wonderful and successful evening with a few book sales, too!
Sunny Bay Arts would like to say thank you to the hockey players from the Mount Royal Cougars hockey team who came to our Art Show Fundraiser in benefit of Calgary Flames Foundation for Life on October 18, 2014! Thank you also to everyone who stopped by at our table! Your support was very much appreciated!
Another photo from the art show fundraiser – Barboria Bjarne and I (Barbori) at the Art Show Fundraiser on October 18, 2014, in support of the Calgary Flames Foundation for Life!
Barboria’s first reading of ‘Quanny and Danny’ at the Storytime at Crowfoot Library on October 11 went well! There was a very good turnout and both parents and children alike enjoyed the story.
It was a wonderful Saturday, October 4, for Barboria as she was at the Parkdale Book Fair during the day and at Indigo Signal Hill’s October Gala in the evening! Barboria’s ‘Quanny and Danny’ was available for sale directly from the author as well as pre-ordering her soon-to-be-pubished second book, ‘Grayson and the Crumbly, Grumbly, Rumbly Cookie’.
Below are a few photos from the two events:
It can be easy to be on the go and work on art projects all the time, not just for artists but for everyone, yet it is important to remember to take care of yourself. Eating lots of fresh and organic fruits and veggies; getting in exercise such as going for a run, playing a vigorous tennis game, or going to a hot yoga class; and letting stress go by reading, taking a bath, or watching a fun movie, all go a long way in keeping you strong and healthy and ready to tackle those projects.
Here is an example of a healthy meal:
You are all the first to see a couple of illustrations from Barboria’s next book, ‘Grayson and the Crumbly, Grumbly, Rumbly Cookie’!
What do you think? To see all of the fun ice cream illustrations and the crumbly, grumbly, rumbly cookie, you will only have to wait until about December 15!
Please feel free to share or “like” if you love the ‘sneak peek’ preview of the illustrations!
We thought that we would share a few photos with you of the wonderful winter wonderland that is currently in Alberta!
Does this make you look forward to winter? What kind of artworks will these photos inspire you to make? Take out your sketchbooks and canvasses and let the art begin!
